Martin Škrtel is a Slovak professional footballer and a captain of the Slovakia national football team. His youth football career started in the football club “Baník Horná Nitra”, where he spent 11 years. Afterwards he used to play for the “AS Trenčín”, “FC Zenit Saint Petersburg”, “Liverpool F.C.” and since 2016 he has been playing for the “Fenerbahçe S.K.”. Being a member of the “FC Zenit Saint Petersburg”, he won the Russian Premier League and the League Cup. He is also vary famous in his homeland Slovakia, where he was named Slovak Footballer of the Year four times.
We know that Škrtel has a huge amount of tattoos on his body. You will find two names – Barbora and Matteo – with a heart in between on his back. These are the names of his wife and his son. There is also a giant angel above them, which covers his entire back.

The date 07.10.2011 and the words “La Familia” are inked on his chest and they stand for the day, when he became a father.
His most famous tattoo – a popular Latin phrase “Veni, Vidi, Vici”, which means ‘I came, I saw, I conquered’ – symbolizes his life philosophy and it is tattooed on the right side of his stomach.
